iBook File size

At Gavinburn today Andrew showed us a truly innovative idea for using iBooks Author for reporting. A vision of the future - but we're sticking with PLPs meanwhile at Sciennes! What panicked me though was when he mentioned the problems with file size in transferring each child's report from his Mac to their iPad. It suddenly dawned on me that our media laden iBook for our 120th Anniversary might be inaccessible! How does this work when downloading a media rich iBook from the iBook store??
